ALEY ANNE

projects.

about.

Aley Anne is an Australian self-taught artist, preferring to use only the tools at her immediate disposal to create each piece. Her hands.

She uses her physicality to etch, stain and smooth acrylic paint over timber surfaces using her fingers and palms.

The process is unstructured, the preference being to create instinctually. The result is a raw and unrefined piece, unique each time.

Inspiration is typically born from her experiences in close relationships. Creatively channelling an emotional state, she naturally developed her style as a form of expression and translation.

Aley Anne spent her youth interchangeably between Sydney's Northern Beaches and Asia. Art is very subjective but regardless, Aley Anne believes a picture tells a thousand words. These are hers.

prints.

Given the unique manner in which Aley Anne creates her work, there is little symmetry between the size and shape of each piece.

All prints are produced on Canson photo rag 310gsm printed with 12 colour pigment inks.

There are limited prints available for each piece.
